CUESTA FAIRBANKS CROSS COUNTRY COURSE

CUESTA COLLEGE, SAN LUIS OBISPO

This youth race is held in the foothills of the Cuesta College campus in San Luis Obispo. This is a dedicated running park and collegiate and high school cross country course. The trails are wide and the course affords many vantage points for viewing. The surrounding area is very scenic with Morro Bay and the beaches approximately 8 miles west. Weather this time of year corresponds to our summer season with low’s in the mid 50’s and high’s ranging from high 60’s to high 70’s. This event kicks off a running weekend that culminates with the Heritage Oaks Bank 10k http://www.hobfunrun.com/ which is the USA Masters 10k National Championships on Sunday, Sept.23rd in Paso Robles some 25 miles north.

There are many fine and affordable accommodations in our area (http://www.sanluisobispocounty.com) with many family attractions.

The Fairbanks Youth Cross Country Festival typically draws from 100 to 140 children from our and surrounding areas. We welcome you and your teams to our area and a true cross country experience.
