CUESTA FAIRBANKS CROSS COUNTRY COURSE
CUESTA COLLEGE, SAN LUIS OBISPO

DIRECTIONS

This Youth and Open race is held in the foothills of the Cuesta Community College campus in San Luis Obispo. This is a dedicated running park and collegiate and high school cross country course. The trails are wide and the course affords many vantage points for viewing. The surrounding area is very scenic with Morro Bay and beaches approximately 8 miles west. Weather this time of year corresponds to our summer season with lows in the mid 50's and highs ranging from 60's to 70's.

There are many fine and affordable accommodations in the County with many family attractions. More information can be found at San Luis Obispo County.

The SLDC Memorial Fairbanks Youth Cross Country Festival typically draws from 100 to 140 children from local and adjacent Counties. We welcome you and your teams to our area and a true Cross Country experience.

FROM THE NORTH or SOUTH

Take 101 Freeway to San Luis Obispo and exit Santa Rosa or Highway 1 (Morro Bay) off ramp. Proceed west on Santa Rosa Blvd. which is also Hwy 1 approximately 12 miles to Education Dr. Turn RIGHT onto Education Dr. and follow the road about 500m to enter the Cuesta Fairbanks Cross Country Course on the LEFT. Large buses may park along the road side.

If you end up at El Chorro Regional Park Camp Ground or the Dairy Creek Golf Course you will need to get back onto Hwy 1 and turn RIGHT (West) and proceed to the next stoplight which is Education Dr.

CAUTION

If coming from the North of San Luis Obispo, be aware that there is a Santa Rosa exit in Atascadero. This is NOT the exit you want. Proceed to San Luis Obispo to the Santa Rosa, Hwy 1 (Morro Bay) exit.
